Let Us Not Forget

It’s that time of year . . . Flowers blooming, trees budding, birds singing! I can’t decide which I like better, spring or fall. They’re both so amazing! But I guess I don’t have to choose, I can enjoy them both and appreciate the unique beauties of each season.

God is so good to have given us four different seasons, and we have the opportunity to appreciate each one afresh, when it comes! There are so many blessings, that God has given us, that we can easily take for granted. Food, clothing, shelter, family, and the list goes on . . . What are some blessings in your life? It is a blessing to have access to the Word of God!! There are many people, in other countries, who do not have the privilege of possessing their own copy of God’s Word.

During Communism in Romania, Christians who chose to take a stand were severely persecuted. Many were tortured and even killed. I highly encourage you to read Pastor Richard Wurmbrand’s book “Tortured For Christ”.

Paul states in 2 Thessalonians 3:1-2, “Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith” (KJV). This is a challenge to myself, as it can be easy to “forget” my brothers and sisters who are suffering. Let us not forget to pray for our family in Christ. Those who are being persecuted this very moment for their faith in Jesus Christ. Let us not forget to pray “that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified” where persecution is. Let us not forget.
