Have you ever considered how much the Word of God points to Jesus? It’s all about Him! Even the Old Testament points to Him. Whether it’s Christ appearing to different people, or a character who’s story points to Jesus, or whether it is prophesies of Jesus (Isaiah 53) . . . the Bible is about Jesus Christ.

Since the Bible is all about Jesus, God’s children should . . .
- read the Bible with Jesus on the forefront of their minds
- read the Bible in order to get to know Jesus better
- look for Jesus in the Bible

We are missing the point, if Jesus isn’t our goal, because it’s all about Him. Even in our daily lives. Jesus should be our aim and focus. When He truly becomes our all in all, our lives will be a beautiful reflection of Him and we will point others to Him. Let’s pray that Jesus will help us to see, know, and love Him more fully, as we read His Word!

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets” (Matthew 22:37, KJV).
