I would like to make myself clear on a few points and address some of my goals for this site. I have felt God leading me to begin a blog for quite some time now, and this summer He gave me the opportunity to open this blog and start writing. I am excited to share some of what God is teaching me, and I would like to encourage my sisters-in-Christ to pursue a closer relationship with our Heavenly Father. I would also like to encourage women to give their lives fully to Christ, if they haven’t already. I am a woman writing to women. If you are a man who is desiring to grow in the Lord, I would ask that you would seek to be discipled by another man, who is a mature follower of Christ. I am not attempting to teach men but other women. 1 Timothy 2:11-15 speaks about the woman’s role in the church, “Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety” (KJV). I am not saying that women are of any less worth than men. “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3:28, KJV). God does not see women as being less than men. In fact, He made both men and woman in “his own image” (Genesis 1:27, KJV). God can still use women in the lives of men, and He does choose to work in that way, sometimes. As this is a blog for discipling and mentoring, though, I would like to address other women.
If you are a woman, of any age, who is seeking to grow closer to the Lord, I would love for you to join me! It would be great to converse with you a little bit, so, feel free to interact with me and others in the comments!
I love your heart for women and desire to grow their relationship with Christ.
